The Zones Of Kunark

Screenshots, Lore, and Concept Art

I was personally wowed by some of this gorgeous work! Many thanks to Tony "Vhalen" Garcia for his contribution of lore!

Enjoy everyone!

Timorous Deep

The northern coast of Kunark reaches out to touch the grand tranquility of the Timorous Deep. Once a haven for pirates, the ages have introduced new threats amidst a temperate archipelago. Great secrets await those that sail the deep blue waters of the Timorous Deep. Some secrets even await those that have long called these islands home.

Kylong Plains

Of all the territories of the Sathirian Empire, the Kylong Plains stands as the most diverse. This vast region contains the fertile coastlines, the frozen crags of the Ryjesium Peaks and the fractured forest of the Stonewood. Here, dwindling giant clans and sarnak broods carry on a futile war against Emperor Venril Sathir's vanguard units based out of the impregnable Karnor's Castle.

“Their end is near and there shall be no mercy.” - Dominus Atrebe

Fens of Nathsar

Once the center of the Cabilisian Empire, the Fens of Nathsar now act as a borderland territory for the new iksar nation. Much of the land has been ravaged by the vast geological devastation that occurred during the Age of Cataclysms. The great Lake of Ill Omen turned violent and swallowed up much of the lowland leaving only high ground for the Sathirian army to claim.

“The glory of the past has returned. Let no empire stand in my way.” - Dominus Rile

Kunzar Jungle

Located within a valley nestled by towering peaks is the majestic Kunzar Jungle. What was once a place of hidden ruins has been transformed into the heart of the new Sathirian Empire. To enter this tangled forest is to put ones life in grave danger. There are few if any places to call safe haven.

“I have waited many ages to display my might to our foes.” - Dominus Chottal

Jarsath Wastes

Standing sentry to the north shores of Kunark is an unforgiving wasteland ravaged by magical storms and an eternal struggle. This land is comprised of war torn valleys, deep chasms and jagged mounts. The foreboding peaks of the Skyfire Mountain look down upon the battlefields of the Overthere. This badlands is the point of contention to the war between the Sathirian Empire and the dragons of the Ring of Scale.

“That mountain palace shall soon become their tomb.” - Dominus Ganak
