So Nik and I had this conversation the other day:

Nik: You know how I have my Grumpy Friday feature, right?

Me: Right.

Nik: Well, I was thinking that you should start a Happy Friday feature.

Me: Really? I’m not happy all the time, you know. Sometimes I’m grumpy, too.

Nik: Are you as grumpy as me?

Me: Well ... no.

Nik: See, it’s all relative. You’ll be happy, and you’ll like it.

Me: Whatever.

Nik: Also, seeing as you're pretty new to the game industry, I thought you might be in a good position to write about Turbine and what goes on here from a player's perspective – what's it like to work at a game company? How are design decisions made? Is everything the way you expected it to be?

Me: Hmm. That sounds suspiciously like a dev diary. A happy one. And now that I think of it, isn’t Grumpy Friday kind of like a grumpy dev diary?

Nik: I guess it's sort of similar.

Me: I thought you and I weren’t supposed to do dev diaries.

Nik: Just do it, okay?

Me: You're the boss.
