Samera Reporting for Duty

It seems the Dungeons & Dragons Online Community Relations Manager
position has just changed hands. Victor "Sporkfire" Watcher is out and
Ariel "Samera" Jaffee-Marks is in. The folks at MMORPG.com wrote about
Sporkfire's move to Cryptic Studios:

Victor "Sporkfire" Wachter, the
Online Community Manager for Dungeons and Dragons Online, has jumped
ship and landed at Cryptic Studios (City of Heroes/Villains, Marvel
Universe Online) as their lead community manager.

"I am a huge fan of superheroes," Wachter told MMORPG.com, "and so
working with the company that put the genre on the MMORPG map is one of
the most exciting things to have ever happened to me. To be working on
Marvel Universe Online makes it that much sweeter."

Wachter will be replaced at Turbine by current DDO Online Community
Relations Specialist Ariel "Samera" Jaffee-Marks.

"DDO is going to be in great hands now that Samera is stepping up to
run community relations," said Wachter. "She has always been the public
face of OCR for the game and I am very proud of her."

MMORPG.com wishes both Jaffee-Marks and Wachter the best of luck in
their new roles.

Samera's announcement was full of her usual pep:

That's right folks!
With Sporkfire leaving I’m in charge of DDO’s
Community Relations. I’m extremely excited about this – I love this
game, I love my team, but most of all I love you guys – my community.
I’ve been on this project since July 2005 and I have lots of ideas
about things I want to do for the future. Additionally, over the next
few weeks we’re going to be hiring to replace my old position so be on
the lookout for an announcement from him or her in the near future!

Congratulations
to both Sporkfire and Samera in their new positions!
