Hunter's League Guides

With the recent influx of new players to the servers recently, what better set of quests to do guides for than the popular Hunter's League? The Hunter's League quests are not only a great opportunity to get some good grouping skills down in your late teens and early 20's, but they also offer a very impressive set of armor and weapon of choice, all of which is tailor made for each class! Enough jaw jacking though, let's get to the guides!

RoskvaThe Final Test

You've proven to Roskva that you can handle the creatures making their homes on the outside of the rock, and while it's not enough to prove to him you can handle the bounty they have in mind, it is a step in the right direction. On top of his rising level of trust, you've also earned yourself a great pair of greaves, so it hasn't all been for naught.

When you speak with Roskva, he tells you how far you've come in his eyes. He feels you are at the pinnacle of your skills and has but one last test for you before you sending you after your bounty. As Roskva tells you, you haven't come this far just to fail now, but he has to make sure you can handle the inside of the mountain as well as you did the outside.

To this end, Roskva has decided to send you inside the rock to gather Dracosnap Shells off the Voracious Dracosnaps and Sapper Wings, which can be gathered from the bodies of Shoreline Sappers. Both sets of creatures are level 22 to 23 4-dot mobs. There are two different routes you can choose from to gain entrance to the inside of the rock.

Objectives

Dracosnap Shells (0/20)
Sapper Wings (0/20)

Dracosnap Shell

Sapper Wing

Sapper picDuring your last quest, you had to travel inside a cave filled with Astoll Fairies. If you continue down the entire length of that cave formation, it will lead to a beach inside the rock. If you choose this route, be careful, because there are a number of Shoreline Sappers waiting just outside the cave. A prepared group should have little trouble as long as they're ready to jump into battle.

The other (and seemingly more common) route to take is to swim into the rock. The southeast corner of the island has an area where the water flows into the rock. Simply follow this, and you'll soon find a body of water filled with Voracious Dracosnaps. Be careful while hunting in here, because a number of the Dracosnaps have crisscrossing pathways they travel, more so than you normally see from other mobs in the game. It's not a problem, but be on your toes for the occasional add.

The battles themselves should be pretty straightforward. Simply kill enough Voracious Dracosnaps and Shoreline Sappers to gather the required amount of wings and shells you need. These are not considered quest drops, so there will only be one (if any) on each body. This means that a full group can spend a large amount of time in here, trying to get them all. The Sapper Wings drop quite often, but the Dracosnaps can sometimes be greedy with their shells. Just continue killing in here, and you'll eventually get all of them.

Once you have everything you need, head back to Roskva to give him the good news that you're ready to receive your bounty. When you get back, he states you really are very skilled and apologizes for doubting you. He explains that they have had a number of people lost on this bounty, so he had to make sure he was essentially not condemning you to death.

Now that the chitchat is over though, claim your new chestpiece, for as Roskva says, you're definitely going to need it for the bounty they send you on!
