Guides, Guides, and More Guides

In this week's newsletter, I mentioned that in 2008 my goal was to get even more quest guides out to the masses here at Ten Ton Hammer. In light of that, I've decided to run a new poll to see what type of guides people want the most. If you don't understand a term or abbreviation I use here, please check our Game Terms 101.

While I can't guarantee any drastic change of direction for the site, I will certainly take these numbers to heart, so please take a few moments to really think about your choices before you vote. Due to the nature of this particular poll, I will also be allowing (and even encouraging) people to choose more than one answer.

Earlier last year, Ralsu ran a similar poll, but with the recent additions to the player base in the last couple of months, I think we're due for a repeat. Think of it as a checkup poll to keep us on track. So without further ado, let's get to it!

What type of quest guides do you most want to see added to the Quest Database?

Solo Quests (Low Level 1-20)

These quests can be completed and posted quickly on a regular basis. While not meant to be a hand held guide, they are a great tool for new players having trouble finding areas to play as they explore the world.

Solo Quests (Mid Level 21-35)

These quests can still be completed fairly quickly. These are meant to be a guide for players that find themselves semi-stuck in those partial leveling gaps we all run into occasionally.

Solo Quests (High Level 36-50)

These guides may take more time to get out, but are very useful for those upper end players that don't have time (or the urge) to group with other players for various dungeons. Although the latter portions of the game appear to be aimed at groups, there are a number of high level areas that can be soloed.

Full Quest Series (Low Level 1-20)

These guides are generally soloable by most classes. They can be completed and posted to the site on a regular basis.ghost castle

Full Quest Series (Mid Level 21-35)

These quest series tend to take up more time than the lower levels. They are also normally a combination of soloable and group content. While they would be posted on a slower schedule than the low level guides, they can still be completed in a relatively timely manner.

Full Quest Series (High Level 36-50)

These series are extremely fun and exciting and generally geared for group content. They also tend to be very time intensive due to the depth of story and number of quests in each series. These guides will take the longest of the quest series guides to complete.

Dungeon Guides (Low Level 1-20)

The relatively small size of these dungeons mean that guides could be completed fairly quickly. With the speed a lot of players go through levels, there are a number of these dungeons tucked in nooks and crannies throughout Telon that many may have missed.

Dungeon Guides (Mid Level 21-35)

This is where the majority of players first start to do some serious dungeon crawling. These dungeons tend to be fairly large in size and will take more time than the lower level dungeons to complete.

Dungeon Guides (High Level 36-50)

The granddaddies of the dungeon world. These are places of mystery and wonder, filled with quests and various treasures, not to mention some of the toughest mobs in the game (not including the Ancient Port Warehouse). The down side to this is that some of these dungeons are absolutely massive and will take a long time to complete a guide for.

Mix It Up

This is basically a spot to say, "Stay on the same path you're currently traveling." We bring a bit of everything, while concentrating on the mid-level (level 21-35 content).

Now it's your turn to let us know what you think!
