Ten Ton Hammer Guild in Vanguard?

An idea was presented today in the Loading... forums about the possibility of starting a Ten Ton Hammer guild spanning multiple games. I had been debating something like this for Vanguard for some time, so thought it was the perfect opportunity to start a thread on our Vanguard forums.  If you don't understand a term or abbreviation I use here, please check our Game Terms 101. 

In this thread, I proposed the idea of starting a guild in Vanguard strictly for Ten Ton Hammer forum members. I stated my ideas about what I would like to see in the guild. I also requested to hear the ideas of others, including those of differing views. People posting differing views is extremely important to discussions not for the sake of conflict, but because they can provide new information or present things from a different perspective.

There are a number of choices below that really don't require any explanation. The two servers to choose from will be Seradon and Xeth. I want to know which (if any) server you want and what character you would be joining with. For the sake of this poll, and ONLY for the sake of this poll, assume that you can only have one character in the guild.

I left the European server, Halgar, out of the poll due to a number of factors, not the least of which is the technical glitches they've been experiencing for some time now. I know it's being worked (PhAtHoM just mentioned it Friday I believe), but also since the population seems to be lower than either Seradon or Xeth.

I also left out the PvP server, Sartok. The population appears to be much smaller than the other servers, and getting enough people to have a meaningful guild on a FFA PvP server would be a monumental task.

If a Ten Ton Hammer Vanguard guild were to be created, where would you want it? Would you create a new character, use an existing alt, or have your main join?

Those are the questions we attempt to unravel in this week's poll:

Why not join Order of the Hammer on Xeth?

There is some merit to this question. The Order is an already established guild on the Xeth server. The guild was originally created by Shayalyn, former Vanguard Site Lead, now the Ten Ton Hammer Public Relations guru) and some other players. Joining an established would have the benefit of having a decent amount of players already available to group with without having to go through the growing pains of starting a guild from scratch.

On the other side of the coin, joining an established guild sometimes has negatives as well, such as cliques that have already formed before you join, an established set of rules/guidelines you may not have a had a say in, lack of room to climb among the guild ranks, etc.

Keep in mind that I'm playing Devil's Advocate here. Although I don't know the members of the Order, I have never once heard a bad thing said about the guild.

Seradon, with an existing alt.

You want the guild to be on Seradon and would be joining with any previously created character that is not your main.

Seradon, with a new character.

You want the guild to be on Seradon and would be joining with a newly created character.

Xeth, with my main character.

You want the guild to be on Xeth and would be joining with whatever character you consider to be your main.

Xeth, with an existing alt.

You want the guild to be on Xeth and would be joining with any previously created character that is not your main.

Xeth, with a new character.

You want the guild to be on Xeth and would be joining with whatever character you consider to be your main.

I have no interest in joining a Ten Ton Hammer guild.

You either have no interest in joining the guild for any reason, or feel that due to personal time constraints, joining would be pointless any way.
