Guide to Bree-Town

Bree-town has a myriad of services and amenities available to visitors
to this city of mixed humans and hobbits.  However, Bree-town is a
big place, and there are so many various twists and turns, streets and
lanes, that a new visitor to the town might have a hard time finding
everything they are looking for.



Bree-town is divided up into gates and quarters, each serving different
needs or purposes.  There are 5 exits from Bree, two to the east
(the Combe gate, the Staddle Road, and the West, North and South Gates.

Locations of Bree-Town

Bree-town is almost a city, though not quite there yet.  However,
it is large enough so that you can be certain to have a hard time
finding things if you are new to the town.  Below are all the
areas of Bree-town.



Windview Estate

An open area of fields, bee-hives, farms and houses of the wealthy,
this area hasn't got much to offer an adventurer aside from the north
gate.

West Gate

A busy area, with all the travel going back and forth along the road to
the href="http://lotro.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=428">Buckland
and points west.  Some quests are found here, and it
has fast travel available.  There is also an arms and armor shop,
and a forge.



Scholar’s Walk

This area is quiet, and often untraveled, but has some Great Barrows
quests in the Scholar's Perch found about halfway along it's length,
plus a reflecting pool.



Oldstones Ruins

This area is almost uninhabited, containing only some ruins from long
ago.



The Stone Quarter

There is a an adventure or two here, but otherwise this is only
traveled by people passing through.



Beggar’s Alley

Much like the Stone Quarter, there isn't much to be found here, aside
from a few href="http://lotro.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=443">Barrow-downs
quests.



Jasmines Garden

This is another quiet area in the town, without much to be found here.



The Inn Gate

One of the busiest parts of Bree-town, the Prancing Pony inn is found
here, along with some merchants, a bard and several quests.  There
is also Bree-towns only internal milestone, probably the most used
milestone in Middle Earth, and a mailbox.



Market Square

Oddly, Market Square is more of an area people pass through rather than
visit.  There are merchants here, selling weapons and armor. 
The href="http://lotro.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=421">Combe
gate is to east of this location.

There is one housing quest found in Market Square, Homesteads in
Eriador.

encroaching enemy driving the inhabitants out of the rural areas of
Eriador, and further strife drawing settlers up from the southern
lands, smaller communities are springing up in the North. An agent you
encountered has suggested you might take the opportunity to purchase
your own home by speaking to one of the brokers that can be found near
the major communities throughout Eriador.

Trader’s Gate

A very busy place for crafting, since the crafters hall is found
here.  Only the farming specialty is lacking here.



Bree-Town Hall

The town hall is a great place to find adventure, and contains a notary
and clerk of kinships.  The jail across from the town hall here
has champion, captain and guardian trainers.  The Staddle road is
found here too, which leads to farming and other areas.



Woodsman's Gate

A very busy area.  Containing the south gate, fast travel, several
mailboxes, and the auction house.  To the east along a path is the
Men of Bree exclusive crafting area, and a hunter trainer.
