As much as I like FusionFall’s strategy for cracking into the market, I have to recognize that the game is not really free-to-play. Like in Wizard101, players who don’t subscribe will hit a serious wall and be unable to continue playing the game. Such a setup differs from a F2P game with an item mall; I can play Mabinogi forever without buying any of the things in the item mall, but I have to spend money to continue playing FusionFall. That doesn’t mean the title from Cartoon Network isn’t worth a try. It just means it can’t get a spot on this list.

The big change this week is moving Shin Megami Tensei Imagine down to #10. I am still excited to play it, but I haven’t looked at it since closed beta. On top of that, my schedule looks pretty full until mid-February. I’ll get back to it and deliver a more in-depth analysis soon (some time after my Secret of the Solstice coverage).
