Greg has been interested in pen and paper role-playing games since he was 7 when the first edition of basic Dungeons & Dragons came out in 1977. Since then he has always been interested in fantasy role-playing games. His introduction to MMOGs was EverQuest; and he's been playing them ever since.

When not playing RPGs of the paper or electronic sort, Greg runs in amateur running competitions, from 5k, to 10k, to half-marathon in length. For that pesky (yet necessary) income, he works as a dispatcher for the security department of a global pharmaceutical company. Aside from that, and spending time with his friends, he enjoys watching Firefly and Stargate episodes for the umpteenth time.

Greg has written poetry and short stories for his own enjoyment for years. Since his anticipation of Dungeons and Dragons Online borders on the unseemly, Greg jumped at the chance to write for TenTonHammer and looks forward to aiding DDO fans with informative, interesting articles.

From Charlotte NC Benjamin "Khalas" Burton has been playing DDO since it's Beta. He first got into RPGs at age 15 when he joined a World of Darkness LARP and has been an avid gamer ever since. He has been a LARPer for 12 years and as ST for LARPs for 4 years. He is a respected Hero Clix competitor and MiB for Steve Jackson Games. For PnP he enjoys the eberron campaign setting for DnD and most games put out by White Wolf.

Ben works as a safety/security inspector for a major hotel in downtown Charlotte. He enjoys going to sci-fi conventions and makes his way to Dragon Con each year. He is a former President of the UNCC Sci-Fi/Fantasy Guild and is the Head Storyteller for Griffinclaw Enterprises which runs MET LARPs in the Charlotte area.

Ben joined the Ten Ton Hammer Guild on the Sarlona server of DDO a month after launch and has stuck with the guild ever since. He accepted an invitation to write for their website and looks forward to adding the content he feels players want.

Serenity
Serenity
Writer
A Washington, D.C. native who now resides in Pittsburgh, PA, Serenity divides her time between writing and gaming. Originally introduced to video games on systems like the Xbox and the Xbox 360 she found them interesting enough but still lacking. During the summer of 2006 she was introduced to DDO and fell immediately in love with her first MMORPG.

With the help of her ever-faithful gaming companion and knowledgeable fiancé she experimented with Final Fantasy XI and World of Warcraft but found that they left a lot to be desired. Before long she made her way back to DDO where she swears she'll stay, pausing only long enough to adventure somewhere in Middle Earth with Lord of The Rings Online.

Though she's new to gaming and writing about video games, she's not new to writing. Having published poetry as a young adult and moved on to short stories later on, she has continued to branch out. Currently she not only writes for her own website but for other sites as well, often times contributing articles pertaining to relationships and other adult interests. As with all her writing, she values any comments and feedback from those who read what she's written.

And to answer your question-Yes, Serenity is her real name.

Blackwater
Blackwater
Writer
Hard rockin, beer swillin and low livin is what editors looks for in a writer. Unfortunately Blackwater is more of a flowers and butterflies kind of guy. His youth on the far flung shores of Africa however, have given him a herculean physique and winning smile, making him a favourite with the ladies and a occasional winner in the underground street fighting scene in London.

Blackwater divides his time between writing for Tentonhammer, deep sea angling and modeling male underwear. He has a sideline making teddybears for the blind, playing flamenco guitar to the elderly and thwarting firemen by prematurely rescuing cats from trees.

Hello, my name is Adam. I have been in love with roleplaying games since I was introduced to them at age 12. I have been running games of different sorts since I was 13. I also build/repair computers for a hobby and enjoy being married to a beautiful woman who has given me two wonderful girls. I currently been playing DDO since prestart and have several capped or near cap characters. You can know be by Rake, Killercroc, Jacoby, Rangorv, Rydlic. My namesake, Rithic, has his head on a chopping block for a multitude of bad build reasons. I love strategy and enjoy telling other what I have learned in the game and writing for TTH seemed like the best step.

Scathe

Michael "Scathe" Bickerstaff
Fighter Contributor
Mike has been playing DDO since about a month or so after launch. He has also played D&D off and on since he was a teenager. He finds himself drawn more to the immersive MMO experience than PnP due to "more environmental fantasy approach."

Before DDO, Mike played a level 52 defiler and level 38 assassin in EverQuest 2 for about 8 months. In his 6-8 months of playing Star Wars Galaxies Mike had one of the first Jedi Masters on his server. In DDO, he primarily plays two characters: a fighter8/barbarian2, and a Level 10 cleric.

Outside of his virtual exploits, Mike works as a painter and teaches music. He has been playing guitar and bass for about 16 years. Mike recently moved to a small. beach town in Delaware and says he's "digging it a lot."

Mike lists his interests as "hot girls, temperate climates, and a lot of sand." He spends most of my time working, but finds himself either plucking away at the guitar, playing DDO, fishing, or tweaking his Yu-Gi-Oh decks in his free time. About Yu-Gi-Oh, Mike says, "Yeah I play Yu-Gi-Oh and love the dueling and strategic aspects on the game."

Brennie

Sean "Brennie" Miller
Cleric Contributor
Brennie has been roleplaying most of his life, originally only reading D&D manuals, and then getting into Amtgard (a LARP similar to SCA, but more fantasy oriented). Brennie has been a long-term player in the following MMOGs: Shadowbane, City of Heroes, Saga of Ryzom, Final Fantasy XI, and Runescpae (If that can even be considered an MMOG).  Brennie has also had brief stints in Asheron's Call 2, WoW, Horizons: Empire of istaria, EVE, and a few others so awful Brennie doesn't even remember their names (Korean titles mostly).

For Amtgard, Brennie was a constant contributor to the monthly newsletter, adding mostly guides and bonus material.  For Shadowbane and City of Heroes, Brennie wrote many character build ideas and guides, all in guild forums.
