Quests 5
and 6
:  The Lower Catacombs and The Patriarch's Crypt

These quests involve first gaining access to the center altar of the
lower catacombs, then consecrating this and 3 other altars to prevent
Marguerite from gaining access to them.  In the process of this
you
will run into several undead and some hell hounds.  After this you
enter crypt of the patriarch of Stormreach, which you then consecrate,
again, preventing Marguerite Dryden from using them.  You them
must escape her alive.



Aside from Marguerite herself, the worst enemies you find here are the
armored wights and a wight
priest.  The wight priest is not the most deadly of it's kind, but
casts dangerous spells, including bestow curse, which is at the very
least expensive to remove, at most can cripple a adventurers abilities
until it is removed. 



In the Lower Catacombs, there are three dangerous traps.. make sure to
allow your rogue to lead.

Lower Catacombs

entering the lower catacombs, you appear in front of a holy

is simply a shrine with a consecrated circle around it.  Any
undead who should pass into this circle are automatically destroyed,
something you can use later if you wish.



Directly ahead, past this shrine, you will come upon a group of href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=36">armored
skeletons and skeleton archers.  If you wish, you can simply
lead
them back to the circle to kill them.  The archers will not follow
though, and you will have to destroy them where they stand.



At the location where the
size="-1">skeletons appeared is a
blocking wall,
which you can pass on the right or left.  Both sides have a cold
trap, so either disarm them or beware.  Continue down the passage
to the central altar.  You will note it is surrounded by a
hemisphere of force, which cannot be passed.  There are three side
hallways leading from this altar (aside from the one you came from).

around the central altar, and href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=140">consecrate
this altar, you must go size="-1"> down the side hallways
to altars at the ends, defeat the enemies found there, and then
consecrate these altars.  Once all three altars are consecrated,
you can return to the central altar, defeat the enemies who have
appeared there, then consecrate the central altar.



Each of the 4 altars have an
armored wight there.  The western altar has ghouls and ghasts, the
northern, skeleton knights and armored skeletons, the east has zombies.



The western hallway has hell hounds halfway along the hallway. 
The northern has trapped switches, which send a scything blade toward
whoever uses them.  The eastern has a spiked trap, quite deadly,
halfway along it's legnth.



Once all
three
of the side altars are
size="-1"> consecrated, size="-1"> simply return to the center altar. 
There you will meet a hellhound, a wight priest, a ghast, and an
armored
wight.  Kill these enemies, and then consecrate the altar. 
You will note that a tablet has appeared on the altar.  Using this
continues you to the size="-1"> href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/modules.php?set_albumName=album38&id=Patriarchs_Crypt&op=modload&name=Gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php"> alt="Patriarch's Crypt Map"

chain.  You also can leave
the dungeon, and when returning to this gate, style="font-family: tahoma;" size="-1"> you will enter the next
quest, The Patriarch's Crypt.

Quest 6:
The Patriarch's Crypt

When you enter
the Patriarch's crypt, you have the choice of going west, east or
south.  All of these directions will lead you down a hallway,
usually with a small encounter, to a large wide room with an open
center.  On the far side of these rooms is a single
sarcophagus.  Each room is guarded by a wight and some undead, and
one additional creature.  The west room holds oozes, the east href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=424">hell
hounds, and the south, zombies.



Upon defeating these
creatures, simply activate the sarcophagus by clicking it, then return
to then next hallway in turn.  Eventually you will have activated
all three.  Once this is done, upon using the third sarcophagus,
the floor in the open room will collapse.  Enter the pit that has
appeared.  If you are using the west sarcophagus, you will meet an
ooze ambush, the south, ghouls and ghasts, and the east will have a
hell hound ambush.  A single chest will appear after you have
fallen to the lower floor.



After defeating the
ambush, make your way back to the central room. 
style="font-family: tahoma;" size="-1">Note the west hallway has
a blade trap. 
You will find a central altar,
which

hounds and a wight.  Defeat these, and the central sarcophagu style="font-family: tahoma;" size="-1">s in this room is now
able to be activated.  Do not active it yet.  There is a
shrine to the west which you can rest at first.  After you are
ready, activate the sarcophagus.  At this point, Marguerite
Dryden's wraith will appear.



Marguerite is not
defeatable.  Flee north to return upstairs to the central room in
the upper floors.  One the way, two side switches, and a single
level must be activated to reach the upper floors.  Simply
activate the tablet on the altar in the upper floors, and you will have
escaped Marguerite.
