Live Expansions: The Future of MMOG's?

New classes, new territories and more await those grubby little fingers reaching out in the night, begging for an expansion. That's all well and good, but what do you do to bring the burned fingers of the unhappy variety back to your world of imagination? Give that expansion away for free. It may sound like Dalmarus has gone off his rocker this week, but read on to discover his reasoning behind the madness in this week's Forever Fantasy!

Depending on the size, some players may call a free expansion nothing more than an over-sized patch, but when you get right down to it, isn't that all an expansion really is? It's nothing more than an over-sized patch wrapped up in a (sometimes) over priced box that you had to wait too long to get because either your preorder was delayed or you couldn't get your car started and had to walk to the game store for your copy.
