Open RVR and specifically zone control is also slated for some tweaking. While this is hardly a surprise considering it's WAR's bread and butter, it does make at least a few interesting additions. Zone control will provide greater rewards for capturing active zones and Battlefield Objectives will now buff controlling players. Player corpses will also have a chance to drop "ordinance" which can be exchanged for improved siege equipment and other items. One of the more interesting toys is a potion that provides oil immunity for 90 seconds.
Finally, a new scenario will make its debut in the realm of Dwarves and Greenskins. The Broken Gates of Ekrund is an extension of the current Tier 1 Gates of Ekrund. Oddly enough, it's placed as a Tier 3 zone, but even stranger is the fact it's designed for a 6 on 6 battle. With only twelve total players it almost sounds like an arena fight in that "other game" or a quick Counterstrike match. The big plus however, is how long could it possibly take to queue up for 6 people?
As you can see patch 1.2 is a Whopper with pickles, onions, and a King-sized box of fries. A massive augmentation of keeps, RvR adjustments, and a new scenario makes it clear that the development team is still dedicated to adding content. More than a hundred bug fixes and adjustments affecting everything from Public Quests to Crafting are certainly available if you'd like to read them. Testing has been ongoing, so look for this massive patch to hit regular servers in the very near future.
