EverQuest to Introduce Dynamic Level Instances?

Posted Fri, Jun 26, 2009 by Dalmarus

EverQuest Lead Designer, Ryan Barker, gave a cryptic (though interesting) answer to a fan at this mornings EverQuest 10th Anniversary Celebration panel moments ago at FanFaire 2009.

The fan asked why they couldn't go back to a lot of "old world" content such as Lady Vox or Nagafein for challenging content? When they were introduced long ago, the player level cap was far lower than it is today. As such, even though they accounted for some of the most exciting content in the game, they no longer hold such interest.

Ryan's simple answer of, "You may be pleasantly surprised this summer," was met with keen interest by all. He wouldn't elaborate further, but could this mean EverQuest may be implementing a system similar to World of Warcraft's option for heroic instances?

Only time will tell.
