A Crafty Contrivance
Upon reaching Canada, your first stop will be Justicar, an NPC
centrally located in Force Station Steelhead that will serve as your
primary contact throughout the mission arc. Along with the opening
missions in the main quest chain, he will also offer you a quest that
will set you on the path to selecting one of the three primary crafting
professions. While full details on the crafting system are beyond the
scope of this guide, the following information and quests will get you
headed in the right direction.

Justicar
QUEST
TYPE: Locate NPC
OBJECTIVES:
Speak with the Arms, Science and Mysticism Crafters.
DETAILS:
After speaking with each of the trainers located at Steelhead,
select which of the available professions you want to learn. Each of
the trainers will provide you with additional details on what sets each
profession apart, so that you can select which one fits best for the
stat focus or general theme you’ve selected for your

QUEST
TYPE: Collection / Crafting
OBJECTIVES:
Gather 3 components, based on your chosen profession;
ARGENT Arms (Arms), Spirit Crystals (Mysticism) or Bio Serum (Science).
DETAILS:
The requested components can be gathered fairly quickly by
checking your map for a highlighted area where a small grouping of
Skill Items is located. Once you’ve collected all 3, return
to your trainer who will give you a Development recipe for a Coldshield
device based on your profession, as well as the final component needed
to create the device. Upon creation of the device the quest will update
automatically and grant you a decent amount of XP and Resources for
your efforts.
Optional Missions
While Justicar will act as your primary contact throughout the crisis,
there are a couple of additional quests that can be discovered as you
head out from Force Station Steelhead. While optional, these will add a
nice boost to XP and can be completed fairly quickly in areas where you
would already be questing.

Torn
from the Sky
CONTACT:
Oceanica Pilot John Torn
QUEST
TYPE: Escort
OBJECTIVES:
Help get Oceanica pilot John Torn back to Steelhead safely
DETAILS:
Just south of Steelhead you’ll see a new quest
marker on your map at about the midway point to the quest marker for
The
Ordeal of Oceanica 408. Once
you speak to the pilot,
he’ll ask you to escort him back to Steelhead. Along the way
you’ll encounter a few groups of ice demons which spawn in
your path and will immediately begin attacking the pilot. Be sure to
draw their agro quickly, otherwise the pilot can die, forcing you to
attempt the quest again from the beginning. The quest will
automatically update once you reach the Steelhead gates, at which point
you can speak to Justicar for your reward.
