World of Warcraft fans have a lot to look forward to at this year's Blizzcon scheduled for later this month. A hopeful announcement regarding the next expansion and an appearance by the famous Ozzy Osbourne who has been featured in WoW TV commercials.

Yes, the Prince of Darkness will be hanging with a whole lot of gaming geeks for the event and it has been confirmed by DirecTV programming as reported by G4's The Feed.

According to the program details at DirecTV, famed rocker/bird-head-biter Ozzy Osbourne has been confirmed for a "special appearance" at Blizzcon 2009 this August. DirecTV is livecasting the event.

Whether Ozzy's special appearance means he'll be performing remains to be seen, but I sure hope so. I like Ozzy as much as the next guy (honestly, probably more than the next guy), but if he's not singing, I'm not sure what he brings to the Blizzcon table, other than the fact that he sounds a bit like a Murloc, of course.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the famed Ozzy if you happen to be making it to the amazing WoW convention!
