What do you get when you cross an action shooter with an MMOG? CrimeCraft. This hybrid game, launched earlier this year, has had some time to develop a following. But is it taking off? How does the game play? More importantly, is it fun, and what is Vogster doing to reach a larger audience? Ten Ton Hammer Executive Editor, Benjamin J. de la Durantaye, returns from a hands-on press event with some overall impressions of the game, and reports of some aces Vogster has up its sleeve.

CrimeCraft isn’t your typical shooter. While there are matches of variations on capture the flag and control points, among other traditional shooter themes, the game offers much more. It has taken a page from the MMOG book and added character advancement including leveling, skills, quests (referred to as missions and jobs in the game), crafting, guild-like gangs, and an in-game economy.
