Ten Ton Hammer Previews LEGO Universe

Posted October 26th, 2009 by Ethec

The pieces are coming together for LEGO Universe, here's our first brick-by-brick account!

LEGO Universe Creative Director Ryan Seabury and LEGO's Mark Hansen took Ten Ton Hammer on a tour of the first three play areas of the game. The visuals are genuinely and impressively LEGO, the customization is first rate, the fun social tchotchkes are all in place, and the gameplay has plenty of action combat-oriented platforming and puzzling appeal. LEGO Universe has style a-plenty, but does it have group-driven substance to match? Will the game appeal to LEGO lovers of all ages?

At first blush, we certainly think so. Why? Check out Ten Ton Hammer's first ever preview of LEGO Universe!

I've always had a love of legos so I'm quite curious on how this will turn out.

Yup, LEGO's are a lot of fun to play with, and sometimes I still do with the many kids in our family on occasion. If this turns out to play like the many other LEGO games, but online with masses of players...then heck yeah it'll be great!

Got myself an LEGO Account now...thx for letting me know about it!

Nice article...greatly looking forward to it even more now!

I signed up the family for one of these accounts. We all love Lego and will be looking forward to this one.

Lego my Lego's.

The biggest thing I'm looking forward to with my missus getting "Clucky" is getting to buy a lot of lego - for the potential little one, of course...

I loved my lego as a kid. Had a full sized treasure chest full to the brim with all sorts of lego. All basic stuff - not like todays "Make a ship" kits though. Thats the only thing lego in stores of today is missing - the classic boxes of just large quantities of lego bricks and pieces. It's all focussed on building one thing.

Hopefully...
