Souls of the Forgotten
Remember our old friend Lord Camillus? It seems the dead are now in his little villa and you’re going to need to cleanse it for the next task. Make your way to the Tarantia Noble District and head for Villa Camillus. As you enter you’ll notice the villa itself has taken on a bit of a new look as is apparent by the fountain of spurting blood at the entrance. Don’t drink unless you’ve had your shots! A few steps in you’ll get a quest update and be prompted to find an offering for the spirit.

Villa Camillus takes on a whole new look in this seasonal instance. |
The parchment for this quest reads:
'Dark sorcery brews in the homes of fallen nobility, kept in jars and bottles. The Lord's forgotten commander rises, yet she shall not be appeased while her gaze is unfettered. Her undying troops hold bitterly the mask of her dark vigilance.'
The item you need drops from the Restless dead in the villa. I got mine fairly early, so your next task is to fight your way to the altar. The room the altar is located in is directly to the west. This version of the Villa is much smaller and won’t take as long to get through. However, the altar in this quest is actually a weapons rack, so make your way to the back of the room and place the offering on it to summon the commander.
|
Providing the offering to the altar will bring forth Soul Commander Tullia. |
Soul Commander Tillia is a little tougher than the chieftain. She summons two equal level Soul Devourer minions to join the fight, so make sure you bring some healing potions if you can’t heal yourself. Once she’s dead you can return to the scholar for your reward of more social items.
Souls of the Damned
The last quest is the group-based one known as 'Souls of the Damned'. You’ll need help for this one as it takes place in the Oasis of Zaara. Your first task is to pass through the gate of the dead.
Once your group is assembled, start fighting your way through the Oasis. You’ll need to make your way about halfway through where you will find the gate of the dead. This is actually a giant bone tunnel that spans into an area where you will find members of the Koruno tribe. Passing through this tunnel will update your quest and prompt you to once again find an offering. The offering you need is dropped by the Koruno tribe, so you and members of your group will need to farm it for each person.
Once you have the offering, keep fighting your way towards the main chieftain tent near the end of the instance. After clearing out the surrounding enemies you will find an altar in one of the tents. Have all of your members click the altar before you kill the boss to avoid having to do this multiple times.
The enemy you face this time is called Meht-Urt, Watcher of the Void. She’s not a pushover. This wench will summon around 6 equal level Void Devourer minions to assist in battle. Not to mention her spells hurt, so bring a healer and be ready for a fairly tough fight.
Once the evil wench is dead you can return to the Ghostly Scholar to claim your final prize, your very own Devourer pet. How can you not love something so adorably hideous?
Funcom’s new event isn’t too long, but it offers some fun little rewards for players to earn and use for amusement. The pet itself is rather comical as it struts around behind you grunting and pointing at anyone that gets close. The potions offer an amusing change to your character, but if you zone they tend to lose their affect. Overall, the entire event is worth doing and is pretty amusing. The changes to some of the game’s more familiar zones offer a nice incentive to revisit some places of old.
