The Siege of Mirkwood expansion introduced skirmish encounters to The Lord of the Rings Online and gave players a chance to take a more active role in the defense of Middle-earth. These instanced encounters provide a quick and fast-paced burst of action that players can jump right into alone, with groups, or with a raid to earn barter items for loot, defend Middle-earth, or just find some fast action to enjoy for a brief time.
