It's been a little while since we've gotten any news on CCP's expansion of the EVE Online universe with their upcoming First-Person Shooter, Dust 514, but through a recent announcement we learned that Dust 514 will be powered by Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3. The same engine that powers many current MMOGs and countless other titles such as Gears of War, Rainbow Six Vegas, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and many others.

In the same press release, CCP also announced a joint development agreement with Geometrics to integrate Geomerics' Enlighten real-time radiosity lighting product with Unreal technology. Click here to read the full press release for more details.
