Ten Ton Hammer - Taking MMO Gamers to the Next Level!

Snail Games has announced that they've hit and exceeded the 1,000,000 player mark with their browser-based MMORTS, Heroes of Gaia. The game is still in open beta, but has already drawn in over 1,000,000 players worldwide. To try and make sure people don't think that they are cooking the numbers, Snail Games Vice President of Global Business Michael Chan explained what it is that's counted as one of the now more than 1,000,000 users.

“Many browser-game developers and publishers claim traffic numbers which are based upon ‘total lifetime accounts,’” added Chan, “and this can be highly deceptive because many of those accounts are inactive.  Our 1,000,000+ HEROES OF GAIA users are unique accounts who have logged in during the past 30 days.”
