KingsIsle Entertainment has revealed new details about the upcoming Advanced Pet System set to go live this spring in Wizard101. Pets have evolved in Wizard101 and have their own set of powers and skills that will provide players access to unique content. The new pet system will provide players with a wide selection of familiars to choose from. The new Pet Pavilion in Wizard City will provide players with vendors, a Hatchery, and a way to train their pets through games. The Hatchery can be used to mix and match pets to create new and unique combinations.

Player pets can be set free to roam castles and even help players out in wizard duels. Inside the Pet Pavilion, players will also find the Pet Derby, which will allow them to play through their pet's eyes in a set of exotic speed races.

The Advanced Pet System is the first two announced updates from KingsIsle about the wizard-based MMORPG. The pet system update will launch this spring and be followed by the Celestia update later this summer.
