Champions Online Difficulty Slider and Future Plans Detailed in Latest "Ask Cryptic"

Posted Mon, May 17, 2010 by Martuk

Champions Online will be going through a few changes in the future and some of those are discussed in the latest "Ask Cryptic" feature. While certain Super Power Sets are getting another look, the game will also be getting a difficulty slider with the release of its next Adventure Pack, The Serpent Lantern. This will allow players to scale missions to make them easier or more difficult. As you might expect, the harder you set the mission, the better your rewards. Cryptic also addressed a few questions about bugged features and future plans to improve the game. Further tweaks to the difficulty slider and rewards will be made once the feature hits PTS.

The Serpent Lantern Update is scheduled to have the difficulty slider in it. This can be used to make missions more challenging, which some teams are looking for. Upping the difficulty will also increase the rewards. In addition, the bonuses we give based on team size will be increased in this update.
