For the third year in a row Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) has helped fund the education of a future game designer. Sylvia Liu of Milpitas, California, has been selected as the lucky recipient of a $10,000 scholarship and optional internship through SOE's G.I.R.L. (Gamers in Real Life) scholarship program. Liu was selected out of the more than 200 applicants seeking the scholarship. Each applicant was asked to submit original concept art of a new game environment and character for Free Realms and Liu's artwork got her the prize.

You can learn more about the scholarship, how to apply and if you're eligible at the G.I.R.L. website.
