Can LOTRO Duplicate The Success of DDO?

Following up on his rant of free-to-play games, Mattlow takes a look at the good and the bad of Turbines decision to go free-to-play with Lord of The Rings Online.

You also have to ask why Turbine has decided to do this now. Sure DDO was completely turned around and brought back from its death throws because of free-to-play, but by all estimates LOTRO is in a pretty good place subscription wise.
