When Sony Online Entertainment launched the spiritual successor to one
of the most popular MMOGs of all time it was hard to predict that
another new game launched that same year would become the most popular
MMOG of all time. While many wrote Everquest
II off for dead the game is still going strong, and with the
launch of the new free-to-play Everquest

What happens when you take the most complete MMOG on the market and remove the barriers that hold back potential players? You get an unmitigated success of a game with a vibrant and populated server. SOE capitalized on a down time in the market as many players had grown bored of their current games. Hopefully the strength of their product will convince many of these gamers to make a permanent switch. EverQuest II Extended earns an A with top notch graphics, sound, gameplay and community combining for a solid gaming experience.
