Melissa Bianco talks about Alpha Strike and City of Heroes.

City of Heroes has received a healthy burst of content recently with the launch of the Going Rogue expansion and things aren't slowing down as Issue 19: Alpha Strike is on the way. The New York Post recently got the chance to speak with Lead Designer Melissa "War Witch" Bianco about the new Incarnate system and the coming war with Praetoria. Bianco explains that Issue 19 will serve as an introduction to the Incarnate system and why the team chose to not just dump a pile of levels on the player with its introduction.

As for timing, rather than dump a stack of Incarnate Levels on the player or force them to wait several-month-long increments between Issues, Positron has publicly stated that he plans to dole them out a bit at a time. So we’d seed the first, let players chew on it for a while, and then when the time is right (maybe a month, maybe more, maybe less), the next one is released. This way, the content is as close to a steady stream as we can make it, not trickle-and-starve or flood-and-done.
