Ghostcrawler’s blog post on why World of Warcraft: Cataclysm dungeons are hard has caused waves through the community, especially from those players who have been the victims of verbal abuse from other players blaming the difficulty on them rather than the dungeons.

Blue poster Zarhym has responded to a thread on the US forums where he outlines Blizzard’s stance on hard dungeons. According to him it’s all about working with the community to make a better game and I respect that but right now the community seems to be taking its frustration out via the forums or in-game chat in the form of abuse at OOM healers who really are trying their hardest. I’m pretty sure some people on my servers have “L2Play noob!” on macro and it would probably help if tanks didn’t zerg in where even blues fear to tread. However Zahrym also revealed the reason for Ghostcrawler’s controversial post in the first place, it all stemmed from this rather heartbreaking thread (amongst others) which the blues regularly pass on. Interesting.
