Today marks the official launch of Rift, Trion's new dynamic content MMORPG. But if you got the chance to play during the head start, you more than likely got more than your fair share of queued up wait times. To help ensure that there is plenty of room, Trion opened up 31 new servers for the official launch and in a surprising move to help funnel players to those new servers, Trion locked the head start servers, much to the chagrin of head start players that were unable to play for a short while.

Launch day is also Syfy (I still can't say that with a straight face) day. Throughout the day, the Syfy channel will be playing a number of Rift videos along with call outs for Rift in the lower section of your screen.
