Rift has a very solid PvE foundation and some promising PvP mechanics for competitive players. But what happens when you let a creative group of players organize a rather lengthy PvP event on a PvE server like Faeblight? You get 22 weeks of war and what looks to be fun and engaging community event. The Gaiscioch Family, a Guardian guild on Faeblight server, has thrown down the gauntlet and threatens to invade Defiant territory all the way up to the main city of Meridian. The guild has put out a call to both factions, welcoming their participation in the 22 week event that began this past Tuesday.

Every Tuesday, the group will march into a new territory with the goal of wiping out any opposing Defiant. The event began on March 8th and will conclude on August 9th, 2011. You can check out the event details on the official Rift forums.
