Age of Conan (AoC) is going free-to-play later this summer with its Unrated re-launch and Game Director Craig Morrison recapped on the big announcement this month and served up plans for the game's switch to the free-to-play market in the May "Monthly Development Update". The next update will bring AoC to the free-to-play market and re-brand it as Age of Conan: Unrated, adding new content and a free version for players to indulge in.

The update also includes more details about more technical changes for AoC and the upcoming adventure pack The Savage Coast of Turan, which will be content based off of the new Conan the Barbarian movie set to debut in August.
