Ghostcrawler is back with another World of Warcraft dev watercooler post. This time talking talent trees, post-Cataclysm.

As we’re used to from Ghostcrawler, the post is insightful and concise. Split into three sections (what worked, what didn’t and the future), he goes into a frank discussion about how talent trees turned out in the wake of the latest expansion. It's worth remembering that talent trees were 'simplified' just prior to Cataclysm so the last seven months has been new territory for Blizzard.

For example, GC seems happy that specs in each class are now different, as opposed to being hybrid and he's pleased with the balancing. That said though, he also raises some concern that there are still what he terms "Clunky" talents but it's an on-going process and has to start somewhere. As for the future, he teases the future evolution of talent trees but doesn't go into specifics. That said, the post is still enlightening and candid so be sure to check it out.
