World of Warcraft: Cataclysm changed almost everything, including the looks of many of the NPCs. Blizzard is continuing it’s Then and Now series by focusing on the young prince of Stormwind, Anduin Wrynn.

Part-lore, part-photo comparison piece, it’s continuing the theme of updating not only the models but the character history in light of Cataclysm and also the companion media, like Christie Golden’s novels. Anduin’s an interesting character mainly because he’s seen so much growth, going from a kid with the standard (and rather ugly) human child model to a teenager with his own unique model who’s actually playing a role in the lore of Azeroth.

For example - and I didn’t know this - the post reveals that Anduin has found a calling, training as a priest of the Light. Except Varian, apparently, is not so keen on his son’s choice. There’s not much in the post but it’s interesting nevertheless and worth checking out if you played during the vanilla era or just like the lore.
