PlayerScore Thrall Header

Listen up PlayerScore fans!

Today I've enlisted the talents of Ten Ton Hammer's very own World of Warcraft community manager, Xerin, to share his top five ways to get the most out of your PlayerScore experience. You see, we know that there are currently millions of WoW players actively using the PlayerScore add-on, and most consider it one of the handful of must-haves along with tools such as Omen or Deadly Boss Mods. But what many of those users may not realize is just how much deeper the rabit hole goes here on the website.

We have some pretty kick-ass new features that I'll be previewing right here on the PlayerScore blog later this week, but in the meantime be sure to use your mouse to put the virtual smackdown on the handy "Read More" button below and be prepared for a major dose of awesome. A safety helmet isn't required beyond this point, but is strongly recommended!

PlayerScore is an invaluable tool for World of Warcraft players
because it provides a large cornucopia of data in an easy to read format. Want
to know someone’s GearScore or what gear they have on? Throw their name toward
PlayerScore and it will deliver to you not only their GS and their armor, but a
plethora of statistics to drive even the craziest number crunchers mad with joy.
To learn how to get the most out the experience have a look at our Top 5 Ways to get the
Most
out of PlayerScore!

#5: Ratings

We’ve all had that argument about how GearScore doesn’t equal skill. Just
because someone has the gear doesn’t mean they have the ability to down
encounters and the reverse is also true. Someone without the gear could have all of
the skill, just not the gear to handle the encounter yet. So use the mighty Search Box of Perpetual Joy (found at the top of this page) to look someone
up and you’re bound to find out what the community thinks of them.

For example, say you’re in the dungeon with someone who is screwing up the
entire party. Half the time they’re walking
around like a complete retard pulling way too many adds and driving the tank up the
wall. Slap them with that big thumbs down and alert the world of their bad
behavior. Likewise, if someone is playing perfectly reward them with the huge
thumbs up.

Then, when you visit us here on the PlayerScore website, you can view the ratings that the community
has left for someone. Sure it isn’t the end all of judgement on someone but it’s
just another tool PlayerScore offers to help rate players based on the type of player they are - not just their GearScore.

#4: Scoreboards

Where do you rate? Where do your friends rate? Where does your neighbor’s cat
that rolls on the keyboard to play WoW while he’s gone rate? PlayerScore comes
well equipped with a scoreboard function to help judge where someone stands with
the entire WoW community.

Navigate to the Scoreboards tab to see where they rank in
the world. If that’s not enough for you, Premium Members can take a gander at
the custom scoreboard option which lets you to make your own scoreboards,
allowing you to rank your friends, guild members, that one guy on your server who's constantly organizing PUG raids, or just random strangers on your own terms.

#3: Comments

Like the ratings feature, the comments section lets everyone extend their voice
and share their thoughts on someone. It includes an advanced trait system where
you can hone in on the specifics such as “Goes too Fast” while tanking or “Knows
encounters” vs. “ninja loots.” Not only that, but there’s a handy comment box to
share your thoughts on someone.

For instance, if you’ve got a tank who saved the entire group you can throw up a
“Holds Aggro Well” trait and leave a nice comment about how they’re a group
all-star. If you’ve got a loser in the group who’s rude and ninjas, slap them
with those traits, give them a bad rating, and leave a comment so others don’t
have to suffer with them as well.

#2: AddOn and Website Synergy

PlayerScore just isn’t available on the web; it’s also available in-game in a
nifty add-on. The add-on lets you know many of the things the website does while you’re
playing the game, keeping you from having to alt-tab. The website and the add-on
sync together taking ratings, comments, traits, and more into and out of the
game with no hassle letting you spend more time in the game playing and less
time trying to search.

With that said, the website is an invaluable tool that can extend your WoW experience far beyond what other sites offer when not in-game. PlayerScore was built from the ground up to provide a rich experience for the user both in and out of game - one major area where most other add-ons fall flat.

#1: Information

Information is critical when making decisions such as “should we invite this
player into our guild” or “will this tank really bring us victory in this PUG”
which is why PlayerScore is the #1 go-to tool for researching characters. Check
out their GearScore to see if they’re well equipped to handle the challenge and
view the ratings to see if they’re a PUG all-star or raid crasher.

Not only are those features available, but everything from how much health they
have to what enchants they’re sporting is easily viewable. Not sure if they have
what it takes to take on an encounter? View their dungeon capability or check
their activity to see what raids and dungeons they’re taking on. For that matter, you can also see where someone ranks in PvP on your server before deciding if you want them on your Arena or Rated Battleground team

It’s no doubt that PlayerScore is super helpful when it comes to WoW. There is a whole world of features to
explore with PlayerScore and we’ve just scratched the surface. So take that
browser and bookmark us, and don't forget to check back for a preview of some
awesome new features we'll be rolling out in the near future.
