Roman all over the galaxy. A preview of Mythic Entertainment's upcoming sci-fi MMORPG, Imperator has been posted on The Laser. It likely that they wrote this: "Set in an alternative reality, where the Roman Empire never fell into ruin and instead became one of three massive super-powers on Earth (or Terra Nova as it's called in the game), Imperator is an interesting, clever MMORPG that should help to move the genre forward. While it might seem to be an odd setting for a game, the Roman myths still resonate with millions worldwide, and Mythic's approach to these seems perfectly suited to the genre. Who hasn't wondered what might have happened if the Romans endured through the centuries? In this alternate reality, the Roman Empire has persisted throughout the millennia right through today and into the future, where space travel and exploration have become commonplace. Using this intriguing premise to hook players, Mythic has created a rich, evocative base to build on. Imperator's storyline has the player battling against the Mayan Empire, who have fled to the outer colonies and have tried to take them over.
