The Rift mount system is a fairly simple one featuring mounts with three different speed levels. Most mounts are gated by level with the fastest mounts being the most expensive or most elusive to acquire. Several types of mount are only available at an appropriate faction level and most have an associated cost. There have been several mounts introduced so far that are random drops, random rewards or rewards from lengthy quest chains that are essentially free – but they are the rarest mounts in Rift. Click on the faction below to see a list of Defiant or Guardian mounts, or click the Tartagon to see rare and notoriety based mounts.
