Ashes of History: Building Bridges

Phase 3 launched on November 2nd, sneaking up on players in a middle of the day update. The newest advancement in the quest has us returning to where the adventure began; the travel stone.

Reopening the Door

Visiting the old quest hub will open up two new quests for you in phase 3, one repeatable and one that will shunt you over to the original attunement area of phase 1, which will serve as a new main quest area for this phase.  It seems we are now on the verge of opening the portal to Ember Isle and taking the fight directly to the newly allied faction of the Wanton Maw.

 

Time to F.A.I.L

Replacing the puzzle quests of the past two phases, phase 3 implements a quest that ports you to random parts of Telara and has you place a special F.A.I.L device down. To use the device you just simply right click the item in the quest sticky, but do it quickly as the whole process is timed and you will be automatically ported back to the quest hub within a few seconds.  Each random location happens to be fairly high up, so for the adrenaline junkies out there, you can place the device and then jump with reckless abandon – enjoying a quick free-fall before being pulled back to the starting point.

 

The Left Stuff

There is also a new daily gather quest where we  trek around the area close to the quest hub and gather up stones to help rebuild the travel port with. These stones will be heavily camped, but their respawn timer is short and you can often get all of them gathered at the same spot within a few minutes. Note that each time you pick one up a traveler will appear to attack you, taking umbrage with your acquisition of the stone.

Make sure to maximize the amount of event currency you are collecting by doing these dailies each day, as this is likely the final phase to offer them.
