If you were hoping to catch Trion Worlds at gamescom this year, you’re going to be a bit disappointed. In a recent post to the End of Nations forums, Community Manager Lance James confirmed that Trion will not be attending the event in Germany next month.
I can now tell you that we will indeed not be present at gamescom, and unfortunately, there won’t be a community party this year.
While we know that many of you have looked forward to meeting us again, this year instead of sending some of our most valued members of the development team around the globe in the middle of crucial development cycles, we have decided to keep them doing what they do best – producing kick-*** games for you our valued players. We are incredibly excited about what is coming and can’t wait to share more news with you!
We are evaluating the possibility of having a separate community party in the future, and when something new develops in that regard, we’ll update you through the usual channels!
You will, however, get a chance to meet some of the Trion team if you’re heading down to PAX Prime on August 30th. In another post on the RIFT forums, Director of Community Elizabeth "Dahanese" Tobey revealed plans for Trion at PAX Prime, which will be a bit different from previous years. While there won’t be a party, the team will be showing off its library of titles, and maybe even something new.
Hey Trion fans!
It’s about that time of year again (and by that I mean convention season) and we’ve been getting some questions about PAX. So here’s the deal: Trion’s going to be coming to PAX this year, but we’re going to be doing things a bit differently. We won’t be having a party, but you will still be able to find us (and hang out with us!) throughout the con, and we’ll be bringing you Trion goodness in the form of RIFT, EoN, Defiance, ArcheAge, and maybe even more... So hang tight for a couple weeks – we’ll have more info then.
