STO Path to F2P Dev Blog Announces Subscription Stipend and New Build Details

Posted Wed, Nov 09, 2011 by Martuk

Cryptic Studios revealed that Star Trek Online would officially go free-to-play on January 17th, 2011 yesterday and with that announcement out of the way, Executive Producer Stephen D’Angelo has announced two other things that should make players rather happy.

First, the Gold member stipend benefit will begin on December 1st, granting subscribers a stipend of 400 Cryptic Points each month. The stipend will be granted on your “anniversary day” or simply put your billing date for the month.

Second, the new build from Tribble will be added to Holodeck server somewhere between December 1st and December 8th. So expect quite a few changes sometime early next month and some colorful discussions on the forums.
