Star Trek Online Executive Producer Stephen D'Angelo dropped a new Path to F2P dev blog recently detailing some new Borg fun coming to the game. New changes to Borg Strategic Task Forces are heading to Tribble and will be available to Federation and Klingon members starting at level 45.
The Borg Strategic Task Forces comes in three story flavors Infected, The Cure and Khitomer Accords. One of the changes being added to the current list is that theyll all be available in normal and elite modes. Finding a group for these missions has been made a little easier with their addition to the PvE queue. Lastly, Cryptic reduced the amount of time it takes to complete a Borg Strategic Task Force mission and they have been split into two sections ground and space, each taking around 30-40 minutes to complete.
There will also be a new kind of loot available for completing Strategic Task Forces called salvage, which can be traded in for items at special stores in Earth Space Dock and Qo'noS.
