STO Path to F2P Dev Blog Reveals New Borg Invasion of Defera

With all the changes taking place on Star Trek Online’s Tribble server, the Borg is seizing the window of distraction. Cryptic has detailed a new Borg invasion for Tribble in their latest Path to F2P dev blog. Everybody’s favorite Star Trek cybernetic bad guys will be launching a full-scale assault on the planet Defera and Federation and Klingon players will be tasked with preventing the planet’s assimilation.

The world contains four different areas of conflict – City, Power Plant, Temple and Probe. Players can face the Borg threat solo or in a group depending on what the mission calls for. Special items have been created for the event, so expect to see some new loot.
