Speaking with Eurogamer, BioWare Founders Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk made it very clear that BioWare still has “huge autonomy” despite being owned by EA. And contrary to what some fans may think, it's still BioWare making the decisions.

"We're not being forced to do anything or told to do anything. We make the decisions. We take input.

Despite BioWare’s past track record, the two did admit to thinking more about the commercial elements to their games than they used to. With high expectations from players and EA on the upcoming launch of Star Wars: The Old Republic, the two went on to explain that while they think about it, they also know that you have to let go and take a risk from time to time.

The interview rounds out with a little insight into how some of the projects that the BioWare crew set out to make came to be such as the Mass Effect saga, which evolved from a space game to a space opera.
