The hits keep on coming for BioWare. After a round of layoffs earlier this year, the departure of former Executive Producer Rich Vogel and the retirement announcement from founders Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk, Star Wars: The Old Republic Lead Designer/Creative Director Daniel Erickson this week also announced that he will also be leaving the studio. News of Erickson’s departure surfaced late yesterday via a reader tip to Massively pointing to Erickson's new Twitter account. Erickson today confirmed the news to Gamasutra.

“I can confirm that I am parting ways with BioWare,” Erickson told Gamasutra. "After seven years learning from the best in the business I am again looking for ways to grow as a creative leader and an artist.”
