the Nomad class and tinted armor last month, Ten Ton Hammer is on hand

Volcanic Vents, a level 15 instance, and the swampy Numidian Delta
were the focal point of Perpetual's showing at SOE Gamer Day, and Ten

  • Dev Profile: Haluk Diriker

MMORPG.com has posted a new developer profile. This one features Haluk Dirker.

Well, there's the current "games for family" trend in the industry as a general, it's only a matter of time before it begins in MMO market as well. I do believe that it's important to have a wide variety of games and being able to tap a market that did not exist 5 years ago is a major jump for industry. It's also possible to sell titles that cost less to such an audience since their prior gaming experience is relatively low and almost everything is new for them.

  • Interview with Richard Duffeck, Community Coordinator for EA Mythic.

MMOsite posted this interview recently with Richard Duffeck, Community Coordinator for EA Mythic.

That really depends on the female in question. I don t think it s fair to stereotype and lump all female players into the "give me rainbows and pink ponies so I can craft and socialize" group. There are MANY female gamers who want to play a game and kick a lot of butt. Those are the ones that will be playing our game.

  • Interview Series Begins

WarCry has begun a new series today with this interview with Community Manager Richard Duffek.

WarCry: Every company who has ever delayed a game says it is a good thing. Why did you push back Warhammer and why is it really a good thing for Warhammer and EA Mythic?

Richard Duffek: We decided to move the release date to early 2008 to invest more time in creating the best game possible. This means taking a few extra months to make sure the final product is polished and brilliant.

  • Launch Day Status Report, Interview with Adam Mersky

Warcry.com has posted this report and interview today as Lord of the Rings Online celebrates it's launch day.

Turbine launched Lord of the Rings Online this morning and as of 3:00 PM Eastern time the company is very happy with how things had rolled out so far. Launch is a scary day, but the team made it even more frightening when key staff spread out to locations across the United States for launch parties. WarCry spoke to Adam Mersky, the head of Turbine's Public Relations, just after he got back from a launch event in New York City.

"[The launch has] been great, really smooth," Mersky told us in a phone interview. "Everyone is very calm, things are rolling smoothly."
