Wurm Online, from Onetwofree AB, is a free to play MMORPG. It is, first, unusual because the game is run on a Java platform. Secondly, the game is completely shaped by the players. Buildings, towns, roads, items--all can be created by your character. The world is yours to mold.

Characters are led by their skills and skills are only increased by practice. Chopping wood will increase your wood chopping skill, just as fighting a helpless animal will increase your fighting skill.

There are two servers currently available. The Home server allows players to play for free. There is no player vs player conflict on the Home server, but if you are feeling murderous, the Wild server allows PvP. However, the Wild server is only available to players who have paid for a premium account.

Premium accounts can be made by the purchase of premium account time via the online store on the official website. Basic accounts are restricted to the Home server and can only reach a maximum level of 20.
