  • Gnolls have a saga?
GameCloud has posted a Interview with Sony Online Entertainment's Scott Hartsman covering the latest EverQuest 2 adventure pack, The Splitpaw Saga. While watching the clouds drift by we saw one that looked a lot like Lord Nagafen and it appeared he was writing this:

" The folks at Sony Online recently release the second "adventure pack" for their hit MMORPG Everquest 2 titled The Splitpaw Saga. Gamecloud got a chance to quiz the pack's senior producer Scott Hartsman to find out more about their mini-expansion pack for the game. "

  • Does an expansion to EQ2 make it EQ2-2.
Computer and Video Games has a preview of EverQuest 2: Desert of Flames posted. They probably wrote this:

"The expansion adds 12 new zones, in particular the new city of Maj'Dul, which lies nestled in the heart of the desert. Although you'll be able to attack the NPCs in this city, it's protected by a group of flying guards that will swoop down if you cause too much trouble. And since they become more powerful the more you kill them, it dissuades you from too much NPC killing, something that's been problematic in WOW. The city is also home to four different factions: the Court of Tears, the Court of Coins, the Court of Swords and the Court of Truth. All the Courts have their own unique missions and eventually you'll have to decide which one you want to ally with. The strength and support a Court gets from the players will ultimately have an impact on the city itself, and dictate the types of guards present, as well as the kind of relationship the Court has with its rivals."

The first installment of Lord of the Rings Online Insider is up and alive at the Official Site . Our Legal Department has strongly advised us not to mention that actor Nick
Nolte was found wandering the streets mumbling the following:

"Welcome to the first installment of our new series, the Thursday Insider. In each Insider, we'll ask some team members to answer a question about themselves, LOTRO, or The Lord of the Rings. You never know what you'll get from the LOTRO team!"

  • Movies become games. Games become movies. Books become games. Games become comics.
Mark Waid of Top Cow talks about making a comic book out of City of Heroes. The Fox Network may indeed be considering a reality show centered on the

    following quote:

"Ok, so we live in a world were pop culture now has videogames and movies jumping from the pages of comic books. Why shouldn’t we see the reverse? NCsoft certainly thought it possible and shortly after the launch of CoH, Blue King Studios rolled out the first City of Heroes comic book (Volume 1, June 04). Beginning with the June edition of this year, the mantle has been passed to Top Cow to continue the comic book."

  • An interview and advertisement in one.
Creative Labs interviewed Blizzard's Shane Dabiri about the sounds of World of Warcraft. It's possible that they wrote this:

"Our goal was to create an epic aural experience. With the world so vast, detailed, and beautiful, it was the sound team's job to make sure the audio matched what the players were seeing on screen. By creating rich ambient loops and having beautiful composed symphonic music, we believe that goal was achieved."

  • Big Black Crows with pointy teeth.
Turbine has posted more creature information for Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar. The creature of choice today is the Crebain. There is a fair to slim chance that they wrote this:

"These menacing black birds from the lands between the Misty Mountains and the dark forest of Fangorn are often controlled by the forces of darkness, acting from above as the eyes and ears of the enemy.  Large and intelligent, flocks of these crow-like creatures darken the skies on their mission of evil.  But be warned – even one Craban is capable of alerting the enemy with the swiftness of the wind.
