As a surprise ending to E3 2008, BioWare announced that they are developing a new MMORPG possibly based on the bestselling Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic franchise. The Star Wars: The Old Republic storyline takes place around 3,600 years before the setting of the original Star Wars: A New Hope movie.
At E3 2009 Bioware announced that Star Wars: The Old Republic will be the first ever fully voiced MMORPG. They also received high praise for their cinematic trailer "Deceived".
