  • A dwarf walks into a bar...

A good many jokes start with some variation on that theme, but it's no joke when you're unable to enjoy Dungeons & Dragons Online due to a few inconsiderate buffoons in the taverns. Darkgolem, in the guise of his gruff dwarf character, Thrumm, takes on the topic of tavern etiquette in an editorial that would make Emily Post proud.

As he walks into the tavern, Thrumm notices how crowded it is. Being a short stout dwarf, ordinarily overcrowding is a concern for him, but he has two advantages over the soft city-goers who would jostle him as they approach the bar. One is his massive axe, which he carries with the blade pointing out from his body, quite on purpose. It’s no coincidence that the 4-foot-long haft of the weapon projects over his shoulder into the air in front of him at an angle. It works great as a means of “accidentally” bumping some lily handed mage who is too deep in conversation about the metaphysics of Eberron to avoid coming between a dwarf and his beer. The other, less subtle advantage Thrumm has is his smell; a hill fighting warrior dwarf has more to worry about than simple cleanliness.

  • The Alliance's main, midget-filled municipality... hammered!

Not only is Ironforge the proud home city of World of Warcraft's dwarves and gnomes, its travel hub status and close proximity to high-end instances makes Ironforge a common destination for Alliance characters of any level.

Get to know Ironforge with TenTonHammer's newest guide, which features a little Ironforge history, a conveniently-labelled map, directions to get to Ironforge for all the Alliance races, and a comprehensive quest list.

Snug within the wintry peaks of Dun Morogh, Ironforge is the proud home city of the gnomes and dwarves of the Grand Alliance. Defiantly braced against the northern reaches of Khaz Modan, the dwarf-carved walls of Ironforge represent the principal bastion of the civilized races against the ravages of the undead Forsaken and their Horde allies throughout Lordaeron.

  • It's little surprise that these days MMORPG developers are hosting in game advertising to supplement the cost of producing and launching these games. Costing upward of thirty million dollars to make, smaller niche games don't have the chance to turn a profit as quickly as someone like Blizzard to went into the black months after release. With that said, NCSoft has signed a deal with Massive Inc to put in-game ads in their upcoming release Auto Assault.

While you're driving down that highway of life, keep an eye out for that Pepsi ad.
