After successfully launching Champions Online (CO) into the free-to-play market, Executive Producer Shannon "Poz" Posniewski has decided to take his leave from Cryptic for a while to indulge in a little vacation. According to a recent news post, Posniewski plans to explore Africa, climb Mount Kilimanjaro and in Posniewski's words, "perhaps death by exposure."
Stepping in to run CO and lead the superhero-based MMOG in Posniewski's absence is Rob Overmeyer, who has been with the team since day one.
"I have been part of the Champs team since day one and it has been quite an adventure," said Rob. "I look forward to continuing that adventure and seeing Champions get better and better with each new day. Believe me when I say the most exciting part is still on the road ahead."
We would like to wish Shannon "Poz" Posniewski the best and hope that his fight against the crazed Giant Grey Apes goes well.
