Lockpick Entertainment recently announced that its innovative fantasy MMORTS Dreamlords was re-entering a period of development following the close of the most recent era. According to CEO David Rosen as posted on the official site:
"Now for the part you might not like so much: We are not a big development studio with unlimited resources and we don’t have a large publisher behind us. In order for us to focus fully on Dreamlords: Re-awakened, Dreamlords will be unavailable for some time.
A new Era starts today on the Dreamlords servers, which means that any new players will begin on a level playing field - relatively speaking - with all of the older veterans. Dreamlords is a terrific game, as referenced by Jeff Woleslagle's shining review, and this is your best chance to really get a feel for the game without getting pwned by any elite veterans.
Dreamlords back online
The official site for Dreamlords has been updated with a note about some unexpected downtime.
Yesterday at approx. 15:30 (CET) the internet connection to the Dreamlords
game servers was lost. The reason for the lost connection was due to a damaged Swedish national internet fiber cable. Unfortunately this problem was beyond both Lockpick Entertainment and our internet service provider. The internet connection was down almost 14 hours but the Dreamlords servers were still running and no information was lost.
